How does Image Insight work?

Images have been used for millennia as a form of communication. We were able to communicate through images long before we were able to communicate through words.

When we talk and think, we use predominantly the prefrontal cortex of the brain, which is responsible for decision making and reasoning.

Image Insight uses the power of Images as metaphors which enables us to answer questions by accessing different parts of the brain such as; memories, experiences, beliefs, values and emotions. As such images can help to stimulate a deeper and more insightful response therefore gaining greater clarity and understanding around challenges and aspirations that may be difficult to articulate.

Images as Metaphors

Image Insight uses Images as Metaphors to help answer questions. Images as metaphors have been used by coaches and therapists for decades to support clients to gain insights and evoke awareness to find solutions to their challenges by accessing different part of the brain responsible for memories, experience, beliefs, values and emotions.

Communicate through images

As a human race, we were able to communicate through images long before we were able to communicate through talking and writing; cave paintings are one of the oldest forms of communication.

Strengthen communication

Research in cognitive psychology shows us that images can strengthen communication as they capture attention, connect to our emotions and convey vast amounts of information in a short amount of time. Scientific research suggests that images can stimulate a deeper and more insightful response to questions.
